Galveston Mardi Gras 2019 - Saturday, February 23rd

Mark your calendars!

Krewe of Gambrinus Parade
Saturday, February 23, 2019
Seawall Blvd, Galveston
6:00 PM Parade Start

Houkulele has been asked once again to participate in the Krewe of Gambrinus Mardi Gras Parade. The event is really fun and a rare chance to play for 250,000 people!

The Krewe of Gambrinus is one of the kickoff parades for Galveston Island’s two-week Mardi Gras celebration. The parade starts at the Galveston Seawall at 6 PM and ends about 2-3 hours later at the far west end of ‘The Strand” near the Train Museum. The parade route is a little over 4 miles. This year’s theme is “Let the Good Times Roar,” so we’ll be playing easy, animal-related songs. We'll need lots of riders and walkers to pull off a good show!
